Ricky Holmes

Barnet FC

Ricky is a young, tricky forward player who burst into the Chelmsford first team after impressing in the youth set-up, netting his first goal with a header in a 3-2 home victory over Bromley which was the Clarets’ second ever match at Melbourne Stadium.

Initially learning his trade with Southend United until his release, he then had spells at Essex intermediate league club White Ensign and Southend Manor of the Essex Senior League.

Chelmsford City signed Ricky for the 2004/05 season to participate in their youth team from which he has quickly emerged to become one of the club’s most gifted players.

In June 2010 Ricky was signed by Barnet FC after an impressive 09/10 season where he was Chelmsford City's top goalscorer.
