Leicester City & Sweden U19
Astrit is a prodigiously talented central midfielder.
Hailing from Sweden, he was scouted by Liverpool as a youngster and joined them as a 16 year old. He played for them for two years and made numerous appearances for their youth and reserve teams.
When the chance to play first team football, in the form of a loan to Leicester City, arose at the end of the 2008/2009 season he grabbed the chance. He made 5 appearances in League One and signed a one year contract during the summer of 2009.
Astrit has represented Sweden at U17 and U19 level, captaining the team during the 2009 U19 European Championship.
